What is Massage Therapy

Massage also has ancient origins, where it was first referenced several thousand years ago in ancient Egypt and China. When you choose to receive a Massage Therapy session, Kathryn uses soft tissue, muscle, skin, and/or tendon manipulation – using touch and movement to improve your health and well-being.

What You can Expect in Your Massage Therapy Session

  • Massage techniques manipulate the soft tissues of your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders.
  • Oil or lotions are typically used.
  • You can disrobe to your own comfort level, as appropriate draping is used throughout the entire session. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, then re-draped as the massage work to each area is completed.
